Campbeltown Brass

Stephanie Mitchell   Principal Cornet

Stephanie Mitchell started playing in primary 5 when she had choice of cornet or horn. She chose the cornet and by the time she got to 3rd year at school, she was playing both Bb cornet with the contest band and soprano in the Youth band. By that time she had her new "Prestige" cornet and decided to stick with that! She has recently discovered a slight embouchure problem and will attending a course with Pete Franks shortly.

She has been going to NYBBS reserves for the past 3 years and is now going to NYBBS for the 1st time this summer.

Stephanie is also a member of Campbeltown Brass Quintet, who have been the current Scottish Youth Ensemble Champions for the past 2 years.

Overall she is thourghly enjoying playing and hopes to see a huge improvement when her embouchure is sorted!
