Campbeltown Brass

Jennifer McCormick Flugel Horn

Jennifer McCormick started playing cornet in primary 6 and then moved onto Flugel, a year later in primary 7.

In 1st year, she got promoted into Campbeltown Brass, but back onto cornet though, although she still played flugel in the Youth band. She then moved onto flugel in the contest band at the beginning of 2nd year.

She has been to NYBBS Reserves for 2 years and last summer, was promoted up to the NYBBS band.

Best banding moment: Being promoted into NYBBS.
Worst banding moment: Competing at Scottish Youth Solo final and no sound came out!!
Best or most satisfying playing experience: NYBBS Reserve concert at end of the week.
Favourite drink: Diet Irn-Bru.
Favourite food: Salt & vinegar crisps and cheese spread in a roll!
Favourite film: Dirty Dancing.
Words of wisdom: Don't practice until you get it right, practice until you don't get it wrong!
