Fife Brass Band Festival
21/04/07
Campbeltown Brass have continued their fine form by winning
the 3rd section at the Fife Brass Band Fesival in
Dunfermline. They started off playing the firiey
mexican piece Malaguena, then onto a nice
slow cornet feature called The Water Is Wide. Next
up bass trombone soloist Kenny Campbell played I Wanna
Be Like You, from the Jungle Book film and
then they finished their programme off with music from
the film Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Mans Chest.
Their entertainment programme convinced adjudicator Paul
Dalton that they were the best in the section, for the
second year in a row at Dunfermline.
