Band Members Solo Competition    27/01/07

We held our annual Solo contest in the Community Centre, with 25 of our members taking part. This contest is very special to us, as it is in memory of Jenny Ralston, Lynsey Wardrop and Emma Paterson, all whom were former players and whose lives were tragically cut short. The adjudicator was Archie Hutchison, conductor of the Dalmellington Band.

Lessons and Band Practices!

Through-out the start off the new year, our musical director Craig Anderson and Charlie Farren from the Scottish Co-op were down taking individual lessons every week in preperation for our forth-coming Solo Contest at the end of January. Also we made a start on working at the 3rd Section test-piece "Prelude and Jubilate" for this years Scottish Championships in March, this contest also doubles as the Regional Qualifier for the National Finals later in the year.
