What is Gift Aid?

Gift Aid is a government scheme which enables registered charities in the United Kingdom to claim the tax back from the HMRC on donations. For example, if you gave £10 using Gift Aid in the tax year 2011/2012, that gift is worth £12.50 to Campbeltown Brass.

Who can donate through Gift Aid?

If you are a UK Tax payer and pay enough tax during the year to cover the amount we are reclaiming on your donations, you can use Gift Aid. If you require more information, please visit the HM Revenue & Customs website.

How to make a gift through Gift Aid

In order for a donation to qualify under Gift Aid you need to make a declaration saying that you would like to donate through the Gift Aid scheme and confirming that you have paid enough tax to cover our claim.

A Gift Aid declaration can apply to:  a single donation  all future donations to Campbeltown Brass  donations made to Campbeltown Brass in the previous six years or  a combination of these options.

If you wish to make a donation to Campbeltown Brass and you are a tax payer, please remember to fill in a Declaration Form.
