By way of thanks to all Junior band members for their hard work last year, Campbeltown Brass held its first Movie Night on Thursday 27 January. This event took place in the Community Centre and was well attended by members of Junior Band and Beginners Band, who all enjoyed the popcorn, juice and crisps, as well as learning how to train their dragons!
Thanks to everyone who helped out during the evening, with a special thanks to horn player Georgia Nicolson who did a fantastic job of helping to tidy up afterwards!
Thank you to everyone who took part in our "Newsletter Name Competition". After much discussion, the Band Committee selected John Souter's suggestion, "Tune In", as the winning name. Congratulations John, your prize will be on its way!
Congratulations to the band’s principal cornet, Erin McSporran, on passing her Grade 8 performance exam with the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music. Erin is one of the youngest band members to achieve success at this level for many years. Very well done.
