Thanks to everyone involved in helping to make our annual music festival coffee morning such a success, an amazing total of over £700 was raised for band funds. Well done to all players especially our brand new beginners on their first public performance.
Owen joined the band back in 2009 when he was still wee. He has put his heart and soul into perfecting his craft and contributed to the many successes of the band, for this, we are very grateful. Gavin has only been with us for a short while but his contributions and what he brought to the band is very much appreciated. We wish them all the best with their studies and banding. Hopefully, they will be able to play with us again. Thank you guys! We wish them all the best at Kirkintilloch Band.
We also say farewell to another star – Emma Bannatyne from the Bannatyne Dynasty of exceptional players! Emma also joined the band at a young age and followed in the footsteps of her brothers Ewan and Greg, playing some wonderful solos. She will be sorely missed. Emma is studying music at the Conservatoire and we wish her every success!

Under the baton of Guest Conductor Paul Kiernan, it was a satisfying result for Campbeltown. First in their Section, 9th overall in the Open and an amazing 2nd in the Hymn Tune. We wish to thank Paul for all his hard work over the last few weeks and his directorial input was very much appreciated.
Well done to all the players, especially Hannah McCaig, on her Senior competition debut.
