Scottish Challenge Shield Winners

At the end of November 2009 the band played in the Scottish Challenge Shield which comprised bands from our own First Section and from the Championship Section. A huge amount of work went into the preparations for this contest and playing the Tallis Variations by Philip Sparke we went with high hopes and expectations.

It was yet another of those instances where the young Campbeltown band confounded many predictions by turning in the winning performance. The photograph of Willie Ralston with the shield says it all.
