What a fabulous week at The National Youth Brass Bands of Scotland for our players. An amazing end of course concert for all 3 bands and a fantastic massed band finale. Special well done to Charlie for winning the Reserve band solo competition.

We are holding a drop-in evening tomorrow night between 6-8pm for any children interested in learning a brass instrument. If you can’t come tomorrow night please get in touch and we can arrange a time that suits you better. You can come anytime between 6-8pm to try all the instruments!

Memorial service

Today some of our players braved challenging conditions to play at the memorial service to mark 30 years since the Mull of Kintyre Chinook Disaster. Special thanks to Charlie who played the Last post and Reveille at the Church service and the Cairn. Our thoughts are with the families and friends of those involved.

Scottish Brass Ensemble of the Year!
We are thrilled to have won the Scottish Brass Ensemble of the Year award! The ensemble performed at the awards ceremony for the Young Scottish Musician of the year at The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. They were awarded the best Scottish Brass ensemble of the year and were presented their trophy by Dr Ursula Jones OBE. Sunday 26th May.
